Around Midnight.

'Are you ready Doctor?'
'I think everything is in order Nurse.'
'The patient?'
'Yes his BP is fine.'
States Nurse Miller.
'But it's a damn shame Doctor Reed.'
'He's practically still a child.'
'Yes, I know Nurse Miller.'
'His family said he's only 18.'
'I have a son at home close to this young man's age.'
'But we are going to make sure he doesn't go to waste.'
...
'Yes it's such a shame nurse Miller.
'The child was involved as a passenger in a car accident the day before on March 31st.'
'Apparently, something happened with the driver.'
'They did find Effexor in his blood system.'
'Usually prescribed for adults Doctor Reed and not seventeen-year olds.'
'And yes, he purposely drove the car into a telephone pole at over 100 miles an hour.'
'There's no doubt about it according to witnesses on the scene.'
'Doctor Reed.'
'Yes, I know even though the situation is horrible that young man has a purpose.
'And, I can feel it deep down within my *Heart.'
