I was alone
My mind in a fog
Out of the mist
Love came and touched me
Her breath in my ear
Fingers brushed my neck
My heart pumped fast
She pushed through my chest
Stole into my wanting heart
Love brought bouquets of happiness
Burgeoning passion and commitment
I wanted Love to stay with me
Be with me now and for all eternity
Resolutely latched on to her
Feverishly held her tight
Resolving in my head
Never to share or let her go
Wanted to keep all to myself
But alas, she began to suffocate
We argued she struggled to be free
Realize now I made a grievous mistake
Love tearfully broke away and was gone
