Let’s give thanks for the animals that roar,
The noisy, nosy elephant, the whale at the shore,
The big cats from the jungle, and the dog next door.
Oh, what a wonderful world we live in!
Oh, what a wonderful world!
*********
Let’s give thanks for all creatures on the wing,
The ladybugs, the butterflies, the birds that sing,
The busy, busy honeybees and all such buzzy things.
Oh, what a wonderful world we live in!
Oh, what a wonderful world!
*********
Thanks for the monkeys and for all those laughs.
For the zigzag zebras and the tall giraffes.
Thanks for all the tiny things that creep and crawl,
And the hoppers and the swimmers.
God bless them all.
*********
Let’s give thanks for all the lovely noise.
The funny sounds around us that most everyone enjoys:
Gruff, gruff. Bark, bark, Cock-a-doodle doo.
Honk, honk, Purr, purr – to mention just a few.
Snuffle, snuffle, hee-haw, squeak and squawk and more.
We can’t go on forever, so let’s end with something clever.
Come on, kids, all together now with one big
R-r-r-roar!
