Nature's Starring Role
Sky Show by Boogienights
    A Sonnet Contest Winner

The moon is patient as it waits its turn,
to rule the sky as night begins to fall.
A million stars come out and start to burn
and there I sit, a witness to it all.

The tall grass in the meadow whispers low,
as I stretch out, so spellbound by this sight.
Seems like it's just for me, this splendid show
and in that moment, all the world feels right.

Its warm, sweet fragrance permeates the air,
as flowers spread their perfume all around.
There seems to be a stillness everywhere,
a peaceful place, devoid of any sound.

This wonderful light show put on in space,
a thousand fireworks could not replace.
