Dad comes home after a late night meeting.

After a late meeting, I opened her bedroom door
She bathed in glowing moonlight; I walked softly to her bed.
Tucked her quilt under her chin and kissed her cheek,
Her eyes fluttered she whispered, “Goodnight, Daddy.”
Her words still echo through the chambers of my mind
