I thought I was happy, though something was missing. A piece of a puzzle -- just out of my grasp. I had a great husband and four beautiful children. Still-- there was an emptiness deep inside. My Grandmother died-- she was a strong Christian. I thought it was just a silly superstition. I was missing her so much-- so I dusted off my childhood Bible. Alone in my room, reading the gospel of Matthew, I spoke aloud to her God!  Saying, "Jesus are you real?"  The room filled with a bright blinding light.  I was never the same after that night. At that moment, I knew in my heart that Jesus was there. He came and filled that void, with His power! I am connected to God, my spirit reborn. Now Jesus is the light of my world! Writing Prompt Write a poem of any type, about something profound that happened to you that changed your life. It can be good or bad, anything that changed your perception of things. Recognized Author Notes Whoever believes in Jesus has eternal life. There is a God-shaped void that only He can fill. He has written eternity in our hearts. Jesus is the light of the world. My Grandmother died in 1982 shortly after I was born again, by God's Holy Spirit through Jesus Christ my Lord.
