Ken woke early on the big day, Dad's, "another day, another dollar" motto in his head, stale as the first day he heard it. He determined then never to accept it. He drove to the factory where his father labored for 50 years, parking his BMW in his spot. As he entered, a chorus of cheers from the workers greeted him under a banner reading: "Happy Retirement to a Great Boss!" "Thanks Dad", he whispered in response.   Author Notes "The apple doesn't fall far from the tree", unless of course, the tree gets blown over.
