my dearest Grand Isle thanks for resisting Ida wounded--you still stand Author Notes On August 29, Hurricane Ida attempted to completely destroy our little 7-mile island off the coast of Louisiana. She approached as a Category 4--or some say 5--and wiped away at least 30% of the homes, and she caused heavy damage to the rest of the structures. We are heartbroken--but Grand Isle is surviving and coming back!!!
