Compose a poem, let me see…
What wondrous words will come to me?
I’ll have to try to stay awake
With all the pills I have to take.
A bit of humor would be nice
Some witty conversation,
However, right arm’s in a sling,
I lost to gravitation.
Left-hand typing’s pretty slow,
So, ample time to think;
But “thinker’s” in slo-mo, I guess,
For sure, we’re not in sync!
Life does have its ups and downs
There’re those who have far worse,
But Covid for a month; now this,
My angst is ‘bout to burst.
Whining is for sure a bore,
Also, it does no good;
I’d best get with the program, ‘cause
It’s time to, and I should.
Recumbent bike is calling me,
I need to exercise
If I want “back to normal”,
I had better galvanize!

Talk is cheap; I’m still in chair,
No one to crack the whip;
It’s almost 5 – a little wine –
I think I’ll have a sip.
(then, the bike, I promise)

Author Notes
after all, house bound for almost two months? a perker-upper is definitely in order.
