(U.S. short tons, unless specified)
Or 4.9 lb per person per day of the "MSW" generated.
Approximately 69 million tons.
(tonnage) were recycled.
And, 25 million tons were composted.

If you compare the amount of garbage the that Americans create to the
"Global Average"
Yes, of the1.6 lbs per day?
We're on the High-end.

In my State of New Jersey.
About 800,000 people face hunger issues every day!
200,000 of them, of course, are our
children.
Which means that all these children can suffer tremendously.
And, directly from starvation!
And, the dramatic Effects?
Yes, of that are physical development and mental health being.

There were three siblings all together Andrew was the oldest and his brother Thomas and eventually Sister Ann.
But unfortunately and the only sister was born but then died.
Seems like tragedy will always be close to Andrew?

The father was devastated but the mother Margaret Morrison C.
Was the family, 'Back-Bone"
At age 12 Andrew learned about poverty and suffering but Mom would have nothing to do with that!
She assisted her brother, yes by selling potted meats at her "sweetie shop" This becoming the primary "Breadwinner"
