Dance
Dance with your lovely bride tonight.
Allow yourself to relax...
Let all of life's distractions to vanish out of sight.
She is your angel, a gift from God,
Whisper sweet affirmations into her ears,
In a soft voice only she can hear.
Smile, as you gently take her hand.
Knowing she is the one for you,
The one God has planned.
Years ago, when you both met,
It was for this purpose for this very hour.
When the Lord would have you come together,
Through His divine grace and power.
To become one with each other,
True lovers under Christ's control.
In wedded bliss to be made complete and whole.
So dance....

Author Notes
I wrote this poem for my youngest brother. He is getting married next Saturday . I used dancing in this piece as a way for him and his future bride to zone out all of the usual melodramatics that are associated with these type of events and to instead focus themselves on God and the wonderful bond of wedded bliss that he will bestow upon them.
