Marie's song.
I stood behind this big broad fence,
while hiding my perceived offence.
I see the people walking in,
the ones that seem absolved of sin.
A great pavilion-multitudes,
saints bowing down in servitude.
As I stand here, I longed to be,
where favoured ones can bow their knee.
I wonder why I'm standing here,
for many reasons is not clear,
If I would ask I'd be refused
for surely I would stand accused.
Yet Jesus came to where I stood,
as petrified as frozen wood.
He said, "Beloved, come with me,
I've come to guide you, set you free.
He guides me to that wondrous throne,
where God is sat as glory's own.
As Jesus bows, God says to Him,
"Son, what's your wish, what is your whim?"
Christ says, "I've brought this child to you,
Lord, she has faith my words are true.
Yet she believes she is not worth
to serve me while she's here on Earth."
"She is a child you gave to me,
so I forgave and set her free.
Dear Father show your mighty grace
display your love, reveal your face."
God says, "My child, please come up here,
and do not tremble, have no fear,
For I have loved you long before,
the Earth was formed with sea or shore."
"I've clothed you with my Son's own blood,
because in sinlessness He stood.
Forevermore you'll wear His peace,
and in His joy His sweet release,"
And on His lap I sat, amazed,
with these few words my doubt's been razed.
I am a child of God divine,
I'm ever His, and He is mine.
"Go forth and spread Christ's love abroad,
your heart is safe, your place assured.
And one day soon Christ will return,
remember this, you are my bairn."

Author Notes
This is a true story, it is concerned with a good friend and leader in our church, Marie Marafioti, who had this encounter with God and Son, and it changed her life dramatically, but it was not always thus!
She had a dream, while awake or sleeping, I cannot recall, but it changed her from being a mousy, doubt filled Christian, to being a Spirit-filled, roaring, joy filled lover of Jesus.
To hug her was to feel something akin to an electric shock, and many a poor soul, or delighted one, would fall to the ground caught up in the sheer joy of the love, of both Marie and what God felt for them.
Marie passed way in 2016, but she selflessly led her home fellowship in her last days, never complaining about the cancer that was wracking her body, caring more for those she was leaving behind, she said, If God wills it I will stay here with you, but I really want to go to Him. Her trust in God affected so many, she is still missed.
RIP beloved saint.
