Moments
"twould be good to capture moments,
and steam them in a jar.
To preserve them for tomorrow
that time could never mar.
When deep emotions trouble much,
that jar we'd open up,
and from its sheer delight and day
could savour, honey sup.
There are so many joy filled days
when blues fled trouble's loom.
It would be nice to capture time
and chase away the gloom.
Eternity's a moment's joy,
that's held in Heaven's cup.
A refuge from our life's mayhem,
and flee from evil's pup.
For God has slain that demon, time,
and put it to the sword.
We can enjoy eternal now
its cost we can afford.

Author Notes
I've been pondering eternity of late...just how can I define this fascinating word, a cousin to infinity. I would have to say, it's the absence of time, in fact what "existed" before creation. God and Jesus addressed themselves as I Am, first when Moses asked the burning bush, "Whom shall I say sent me." When God sent him to set the enslaved Israelites free in Egypt. (Exodus 3:14) and when Jesus said, "Before Abraham was I Am." (John 8:58) So it just has to be the eternal now. Sin caused the downfall of Adam and Eve, to die it must mean that sin is the key to why we are mortal, faith in Christ's death and resurrection is the only way to alleviate that, nothing else can satisfy God's judgement. Ephesians 2:8-9.
