Christmas is nigh, snowstorm brewing
Ready to hear drummers drumming
It's tough to stroll without humming
For most of us, it's homecoming
There's good reason for gratitude
Difficult year for multitude
We must all forge an attitude
That hate must go, it must conclude
2020 meant division
Let our new year be inclusion
20/20 rates our vision
Turn it inward for revision
Covid will slow until controlled
To be no more than a head cold
Congress will get a good foothold
Members will all remove blindfold
We must admit we are the same
Anything else is pure mind game
Negative thoughts we all must tame
Kindness and love should be our aim
We can't allow our ignorance
To overcome our good conscience
Random actions of violence
Are sometimes spurred by opulence
Christ Nature means serve another
We all get that from our mother
We cannot be a bystander
We must nurture earth together
Joy to the world the end has come
No more Grinch hate in our eardrum
Our worries shouldn't be income
We all fashion what we become
