My husband and I had a Persian cat who I named Gideon. Gideon did not strike me as a worker so it is a little challenging to think of various possible occupations for a pampered Persian. But a few do come to mind.
When I visited the city of New Orleans, I was amazed at the various live statues I saw. One woman was the Statue of Liberty. I never saw her move. Gideon could be one of these statues, a giant stuffed cat. He often sat for hours without moving. I would check on him to make sure he was still breathing. He could be one of these street performers in any major city in the United States.
Before eating his food or drinking water, he would do a little dance with his front paws. This would qualify him as a professional dancer. He could easily appear on Broadway in, you guessed it, "Cats".
Another trait, Gideon often performed, was staring at himself in a mirror. He would do this for hours. For some reason, I can see him in either a Disney movie or an artsy film, Cat staring at Himself in Mirror.
Another trait he had as kitten, he would attack my feet when I was asleep in bed. He did this in order to wake me up to feed him. I can see him as a loan shark who attacks feet to obtain over due funds. He could also be a podiatrist since he had a foot fetish. Thankfully, he out grew this.
So Gideon, the exotic Persian has a few career paths he could have chosen. But he preferred to lounge around, stare at himself in the mirror and be admired.
