We hope for things to be all right,
And for all our days to be bright.
We hope to give comfort and cheer
To neighbors and friends we hold dear.
Kids hope they can fix a bird's wings.
We hope for patience in all things.
We hope to be happy each day,
To understand things children say.
We hope to learn a song we love,
To receive guidance from above.
We hope to learn from a mistake,
To enjoy treats our children make.
We hope to keep all our thoughts pure,
To have strength to always endure.
We hope in life we will go far,
To never forget who we are.
We hope to feel Jesus close by
When we feel that we have to cry.
He will lift our burdens we know.
We know how much he loves us so.
