What does it mean
to have integrity
when social media
has a grip.
A grip on your soul
out of control
at times a temptation
to strip.
To strip yourself
from the morals you hold
believing false stories you're told
your life begins to implode.
Imploding on the inside
debilitating
isolating
shutting your loved ones out.
Leaving them out in the cold
watching your life unfold
not knowing how to help
unaware.
Unaware
blank stare
let me in
I care.
Social media is not
the "go to"
for all of your needs
for you my heart bleeds.
Someday
you may look back
from the outside
looking in.
Realize the effects
it had within.
Within the thoughts
that caused choices made
and consequences paid
forward progress delayed.
It's never too late
to turn things around
to live your life
on solid ground.
No regrets looking back
chalk things up as mistakes
learn from them and carry-on
do whatever it takes.

There are too many young gals trying to get their worth and being influenced by social media. Too many people shame others which then affects their friendships. It breaks my heart to hear the way people mistreat others on their social accounts.
Donā??t be a bully or allow others to mistreat you.
