I was awakened from my nap, by a slap.
A voice said, "Listen to me, you might never be free."
Since the beginning of time till now,
Folks have tried to figure how,
They could bring this system down.
Dead bodies litter the ground.
The fight is not against flesh, but against governments and systems,
There have always been and will always be lots of innocent victims.
I do not have the power, and this is not my hour,
The sound of these words, makes my mouth taste sour,
The fight is in the hands of one higher than a mighty tower.
Pray if you know how, the end is close to now.
There is nowhere to run, with the sinking of the sun,
If on the wrong side, there'll be no place to hide.

Author Notes
I am a Bible student and my studies led me to create this poem. It has hovered in my subconscious for days and I could no longer ignore it. So, here it is. I am well aware that there will be some, maybe many who will disagree with me. That is okay, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
