Wander~lusting vagabond
I traveled near and far,
from blooming little boomtowns
to ancient Zanzibar.
In a van that we made home
drove 'round the USA.
Dipped a toe in Mexico,
sweet memories today
Sailing through the islands
with the Captain as a kid,
Blue Mountains of Jamaica
a pirate's life I lived.
Beloved Tanzania
can still move me to tears.
My six month safari
that lasted 20 years.
One thing that was certain
no matter where I roamed.
There always was a light left on
when I found my way home.
