"Shhh, don't peek Birthday Girl, he whispered fumbling with the key. "Oh, so mysterious." Sophie giggled as she tugged playfully at the blindfold. She kicked off her Jimmy Choos with a sigh of relief. "Thank God we didn't plan something big with the gang tonight. I just can't deal with them any more. We might even find some new friends, you know, not so boring." A muffled cough from behind the sofa revealed her birthday surprise. Writing Prompt Write a complete story in 80 words or less.
