Author Notes
A friend who's really into "native" plants told me these are good specimens of "star flowers." Seen on Mount Erie, on the ground as I was heading to the western look-out point. According to this website -- https://plantcaretoday.com/star-flower-plant.html -- star flowers prefer "dappled sunlight" or "shade," and not full sun.
