Writing Prompt
Write a haiku concerning nature.
- 17 syllables or less
- two grammatically interconnected lines of concrete imagery
- satori (a moment of insight, reflection or observation in lines 1 or 3)
- short/long/short format
- artwork allowed yet poem must stand alone
- personification allowed
Author Notes
This year Jackie and Shadow did not become parents..their second trial ( two eggs) was unsuccessful too.
The first chick towards the third week of March started to make its way out of shell ..could be heard chirping even, but sadly it never hatched. The second egg for some reason never hatched either.
Jackie and Shadow are a very close-knit couple and now pass their time soaring,fishing, and adjusting the nest. Shadow loves to bring in big and awkward branches and sticks ...but it's Jackie that has the last say if it stays and where it will be placed. Does that sound familiar to you folks.
