"Papa!" Clara, our youngest granddaughter, is a Papa's girl. A month shy of two, she is constantly calling for me. When she draws out the last syllable, I know that she's up to no good.
"Papa-aahh!" I go into the kitchen to check on her, and my heart skips a beat. She is standing on the counter, her feet nearly on the edge as she leans backward to open the cupboard doors. Beside the counter is her small plastic slide, pushed from the living room to be used as a ladder. She looks at me with a devilish grin. "Cookie?"
