Excellent A Short Rhymed Poem NaPoWriMo 2021 : 27. History by Debra White

A long, long time ago there was a girl named Debra Dales. The name came with a ball and chain to keep her on the rails. She tried so hard to please her man and keep his interest, but football was his one true love and she was second best. It pained her to admit her marriage was a big old mess. She packed her bags and left (it seemed he couldn't have cared less.) One day a tall, dark, handsome man turned up and made things right.  The rest, they say, is history - She's now named Debra White!   Author Notes Not so recent history - I've been happily married to Mr White for almost 20 years now.
