Mea culpa, pardonne moi
I broke the contest rules
No offense intended
I feel like such a fool
Beg pardon to contestants
the organizer too
You clearly found my flaw
When I didn’t have a clue
My hand was in the cookie jar
Admonishment accepted
So slap me on the wrist
My pride will be affected
Forget about flawlessness
Instead hear my confession
I CANNOT FOLLOW RULES
my flaw without a question
Please accept this re-write
And keep me in the pool
Creativity is a good thing
but within the contest rules

I think it's only fair that you see my original tongue-in-cheek submission:
"Flawless"
Finally here's a poem
about my favorite topic
yet those who know me best
say I'm hopelessly myopic
For however hard I try
their truth I cannot see
with 20/20 vision
what is wrong with me
Any flaws I might have had
flew the chicken coop
now I tend to old and sick
and bring them matzo soup
I help blue haired ladies
cross the busy streets
I'd sacrifice my life for them
no accolades I seek
I'm president of the PTA
and Mother of the Year
My kids are crazy 'bout me
they claim I have no peer
Some call me Carol Brady
but that just makes no sense
she had only had six kids
I'm pregnant with my tenth
Although I am not perfect
I'm often labeled best
fate's been very kind to me
for I am surely blessed
