Pirates of the Caribbean is Jill's favorite ride
all pageantry, excitement; and subtly aside
Down in earth's bowels and eerily spooky
chock full of pirates, it's brash and it's kooky
Drift through the bayou where bog crickets chirr
slip mortal ties, 'til reality blurs
Float in a rowboat in dead of the night
where the only sight is the fireflies' light
Zydeco rhythm charges the air
to Nawlins burning, going up in a flare
Cannons are booming, fodder falls near
wenches are screaming, running circles in fear
Scalawags plunder with nary a care
their booty secluded in licentious lairs
Bawdy behavior, great guzzling of grog
a dangling jail key...held at length by a dog
Cacophony quelled, suspiciously quiet
no sounds of revelry, roister, or riot
Dinghy speeds up with pitching and lunging
splishing and splashing, unbridled plunging
Screams that you hear are probably your own
as you hurl down the rapids, back to the known
Exit your vessel, top to bottom you're wet
who cares if you're soaked, be it water or sweat
As you get back in line, thought strikes like an arrow
was that Johnny Depp dressed as Cap'n Jack Sparrow?
