THE UNION

Andrew Jackson at The Met in New York
Is a true work of art, built better than a cork.
The seventh president lives in a cameo
As a bust laid on conch shell with an afterglow.

IT MUST AND SHALL BE

George W. Jamison and William Rose were artists
That jumped on a trendy jewel craze, which started
By Greek and Roman carvings that evolved in Europe
And America during the eighteenth century.

PRESERVED.
