A crown of gold bursts into view,
Soaking up the sun and light;
There's nothing in my eyes but you.
A crown of gold bursts into view...
Pluck! Oh, just the best will do!
Bestowed with love, you smile just right,
A crown of gold bursts into view;
There's nothing in my eyes but you.

Every spring and summer, my siblings and I would supply our mom with endless bouquets of dandelions. She always received them with such joy and excitement, placing them in a crystal vase in the center of our kitchen table for all to see. We thought, back then, that she adored these pesky weeds, but now we know she does, as they still decorate her home, gifts from our children and grandchildren. Every dandelion gift, she receives with gracious happiness, causing the presenter to feel so special, and making her seem like a queen in their eyes.
Thank you so much for reading my poem. Many hugs and blessings to you.
