Hola, Salvador, you were not mad!
Maybe a little twisted, but not bad.
You saw things others did not see
Melted clocks? Makes sense to me!
You saw us as prisoners of clocks
As your painting clearly mocks
You melted those bonds in oil
Those bent clocks on trees and soil.
They of smarts, but no true sight
Say you were simply not so right
But, we who can see your vision
Understand your timely mission;
I hear, “Fear not time’s passing -
Time will pass, will do it’s dashing
So, be your own master of time
To reach that future more sublime.”
I have learned from your fantasies
There are prizes for me to seize
On my own terms, in my own way
Oh, Dali, I learn from you each day!
