The sweet aroma of freshly baked bread fills my childhood home. It's a little taste of heaven by the sea. A place I love to roam. The birds sing enchanting melodies outside the window panes. The kids are having a picnic in the backyard and playing some good old fashioned games. Steaks simmer on the grill a peace and calm has intervened. A breathtaking sunset comes into view — A beautiful, tranquil scene.   Writing Prompt Write a poem of any length or style using these words birds bread sunset calm picnic grill Recognized Author Notes I remember my Mom baking bread. She would have her counter lined of with it. She had a big family to feed. The smell from the bread was just divine. Mom passed away last year. I love going home to see family and be by the ocean. My photo is one I took one time I was home.
