I always used to depend on my parents,
most of the time they did
everything for me,
but they showed me how to do things
on my own,
it took me a while to do things myself.
I took step by step paths
to do things only for me,
I learned life lessons from them,
little by little I was becoming independent.
Things weren't easy for me,
but some things were difficult,
they showed me the way,
I have kept learning.
Several years later, I became independent,
I was no longer dependent on my parents.
I outgrew my dependency,
I started doing errands on my own,
I did chores at home by myself,
I wrote fiction stories, entered writing contests,
wrote poems, and cooked my food
all on my own.
I no longer depend on my parents,
I only look out for myself.
I have learned to move on in life.
