God, I give you my life today
A thanksgiving offering
For the many blessings
You bestow on me daily
I thank you for this gift of another day
A day filled with potential and promise
This gift presented to me at dawn
Is as a rose bud ready to open
As the day progresses, the flower of life unfolds
The scent of You is upon the air and I run after it
Your presence is everywhere to be seen and I revel in it
As my day fades into the twilight
I extract the last bit of fragrance
And return it to You as an evening sacrifice
