I see within your inner heart,
a truth you all deny.
You know you're lost in your own sins
no matter how you lie.
You'd love to claim your soul is saved
beneath your darkened veil,
but your salvation's bleak at best
and destined, yes, to fail.
So long before my lovely Eve
believed in words divine,
the world then held a sovereign worth
but still I made it mine.
While Adam too beget my ploy
and swallowed his own fate,
he realized the damage done
yet taste it far too late.
Your loving God then knew your flaws,
despising you as I,
where your free will so deeply stains
the rules that you defy.
Pretend you think I don't exist
until we're face to face,
where you'll accept a bitter truth
that no lies can erase.
So live within this unseen ruse
that I've instilled in you,
and know that I will never rest
until you've fallen too.
