Let me tell you why I need to be more humble;
I have this compelling need to rudely interrupt.
Not a characteristic I’m proud of,
but most times I can’t manage,
I simply get out of control.
If it is a problem being discussed -
I can’t wait,
I don’t listen,
I disrupt and
I gush my solution.
I Never let speakers fully state their arguments, feelings or positions.
Lately, I have become cognizant of my obnoxious mode of operation.
When I pop off, I do try to apologize, but often
it is a mite too late, and anger has been sparked.
Why do I think my thoughts more important?
Why do I just butt in and crudely interrupt?
Why can’t I wait?
Why do I bite on every verbal bait?
No more!
I now resolve to listen and
wait my turn
in every debate and discussion.
