Happy? For me, it doesn’t take much
These days; Starting with when I wake
Each morning for me is a Blessing
“I’ve another day, for Heaven’s sake!"
Golf does, at times, make me happy
At other times? Well, not so much.
But, generally, happiest with friends
Out on the course, a golf club in clutch
On the road, in our motorhome
With spoiled dogs and my dear wife
Going from here to there with them
And camping out: That’s a happy life!
Adult beverages and tasty snacks
For me, happy is as happy parties
I don’t follow many healthy rules –
That's for healthy, yet, unhappy smarties
Sex? Happy? Not sure, if I remember…
At my age, those memories are a muddle.
But, I know, now, I’m delirious if
I can just seduce someone to cuddle.
Writing poetry puts me in a happy place
Although I seldom seem to win
But writing makes me so happy that
I try and try and try again!

You might be asking yourself, "Why didn't this old man mention his grandchildren as sources of happy?" You have not met my grandchildren. Neither did I mention hard work as making me happy. Now we're back to grandchildren.
