Ever Wonder? by Y. M. Roger
    An 8-6 poem Contest Winner

I asked around, but no one knew
how or why does time fly?
The birds said they had never seen
Father Time flitting by.

And for that matter, busy bees
said they had never spied,
The likes of clocks with wings that sped
on high winds ‘cross the sky.

Even the moths that flit about
when Autumn’s moon is high,
All looked at me like I was dim
when I dared ask them why.

So here I sit without a clue
just staring at the sky.
‘Cuz birds and bees and moths, it seems,
are in cahoots with time!
