true love remembrances

I remember the dream

by jake cosmos aller

I remember it was September
That I met my fate

I will always remember
That date

I remember the dreams
That started in 1974

And continued until 1982
When she walked out of them

Into my life
Becoming my wife

I will always remember
The way she looked at me

Love at first sight
Sparks of love

Flowing from her
Overwhelming me

As I lost all reason
Falling madly into love's embrace

I remember seeing her there
Getting off that bus

I remember thinking
That was the girl

The girl in the dream
My mad dream quest

Was coming to an end
With her standing there

I remember it all so clearly
As if it were yesterday

Yet it has been almost 38 years
Since God sent this angel to me

And I will remember the dream
Until my dying breath
