Learn Life's Lessons

by JLR

Alas,
By all accounts of the stories heard
Clearly, there are lessons about life
depending on attention to be preferred.
Engaged, as you might, managing strife
Fear not!, Be absolute, risk can be deferred!
Getting ahead of strife through one's drive
Helps to keep the cup half full and hope secured.

Invest in yourself, in the proper ways, to easily survive.
Jostling for space in the human race is all about pace
Keeping your balance, even on a tight rope
Lightly, so very slightly, dancing in place.
Maintaining, balance in both work and play to promote

Needed Joy, a happy go lucky, attitude surely embraced.
Or, one could dribble and say, "Oh! Woe is me, I need more sleep!
Pleading with wringing of hands that keeping schedules don't work...
Quaking at every Earth day waking too many tasks, climbing the ladder so steep.

Respect Self, to not dare tarry, one life -- one shot, certainly not too many
Straighten your back, you can most certainly carry forth, remember your Faith
Trust in your Maker, the lessons are true, really made quite easy for you.
Understand you are never alone, even if life makes you at times groan
Vital, to be vocal, keep prayer volume high, vowing meekly
Wishing the Divine to be watchful as your weaver of Peace
X, mark it clear, that very spot... where my heart pours out love
Yoeman, I would be willing to be, just to be able to learn from Thee
Zip up the negative, those - can't do, won't work -- Simply Work and Pray.
