They say love is perfect,
true, natural, and nice. But, I’m here to tell you, Love is also cold as ice. ~ Love hunts in the sun, and seduces at night. It uses a sweet nymph To get you at first sight. ~ You think you are strong. In love, you’ll not fall. But, Love uses soft eyes, to make fools of us all. ~ Love has many forms, A shy maiden who smiles. She'll whisper sweet words, and entrap with her wiles. ~ Love can move mountains; make the world go ‘round. It brings tears to a clown, and sends Kings to ground. ~ Love has overthrown gods. It’s witty, wicked, and wise. It has formed great families, and caused others’ demise. ~ Please, listen to what I say, because each word is true. Love has finally caught me, and now its eyes are on you. |
