Debbie Makes An Impression

Debbie had a hard time making friends at her new high school. The other girls refused to be seen with her, due to her lack of elegance and fashion sense. She wore scruffy trousers, her fingernails were always dirty, and her hair was squashed flat like she’d had a bowl put on her head. But one day all the boys clustered around Debbie with rapt attention. She arrived at school on her restored vintage motorcycle.
