A Little Too Tempting

I'm tempted to enter this contest,
without a temptation in mind.
I'm tempted to tell you my screen name
while knowing the contest is blind.

I'm tempted to write like a toddler,
maybe perhaps then I'll win.
I'm tempted to write like my grandma,
to get all the votes rolling in.

I'm tempted but doubt I'll promote this.
I'm clearly just wasting my time.
I'm tempted to say muthafucker
but that would be labeled a crime.

I'm tempted to not put the warning
for language to see who will weep.
I'm tempted to join other contests
but, sadly, they bore me to sleep.

I'm tempted to not post a picture.
What artwork could I even use?
I'm tempted to make this real pretty
but as you can see, I refuse.

I'm tempted to change all my wording.
I just read this back and it sucks.
I'm tempted to stop here.
