In the year 2020...
I found a genie in a lamp,
I rubbed it once or twice by chance.
When he emerged he looked askance,
then shot to me an angry glance.
I found a genie in a lamp,
he said he had one wish to grant,
and then he started in to chant.
I said, "Hold up and stop this rant,
one wish, to me seems rather scant."
I found a genie in a lamp,
I said, "I think I'm shorted two,
the story goes, three wishes true!"
"The minimun supplied by you."
I found a genie in a lamp,
he was quite sheepish I admit.
"My money's tight, I've took a hit,
no guarantees, but three you'll get."
I found a genie in a lamp,
my first wish was to become rich,
to be in a much better sitch.
He said, "What do I look like bitch?"
I found a genie in a lamp,
he spat those words out where I sat.
"I can't obtain the funds for that!"
"Covid-19, you hear of that?"
I found a genie in a lamp,
I said, "I'll move to number two."
"A trip for me, my husband too,
to see Chicago's Brookfield Zoo."
I found a genie in a lamp,
He said, "Have you lost your damn mind!?"
"Chaos and riots you will find, and people who will not be kind,
with threats, unless you walk their line."
I found a genie in a lamp,
"Okay" I said, "Third times the charm."
"Assure Trump wins, sound the alarm,
the liberals will us, disarm!"
I found a genie in lamp,
He said, "There's nothing I can do."
"The voters will decide, it's true,
unless the ballots go askew."
I told the genie from the lamp,
I said, "Go back from whence you came!"
No wishes granted, that's just lame.
This year's 'bout gone, this shits the same,
and still I'm not sure who to blame.
I pawned that lamp, got money fast,
I don't know how long It will last,
with economics on it's ass.
A second stimulus, PLEASE pass!
