Twilight 5/7/5 writing prompt entry
Writing Prompt Write a 5/7/5 about that time at close of day that we call Twilight. |
Author's Note:
Photo by Stephen Jaquiery, featuring more than a dozen fantails roosting snugly together on a jasmine vine in a shed in New Zealand in July (a winter month in NZ). The loop of vine provides a convenient indoor perch which was warmer than alternative roosts outside, exposed to winter winds. The agile little birds jump into their preferred position on the vine each evening, and shuffle along to make room for each other before the nightly side-by-side roosting. The birds begin roosting at dusk, shortly after 5pm, then fly off at dawn.
