stairs leading to an
attic full of mystery -
creak as if in pain

will there be treasures
waiting to be discovered-
or forgotten junk

something familiar
next to the stained glass window -
teacups neatly stacked

memories arise
of Earl Grey and our Nanna -
cups of steaming love
