You Did It For Me

100 Word Flash Fiction Contest Winner 

Every step of the way you were there, telling me, 'You couldn't do it for me.'

I remember trying to learn to ride, and you telling me, "Try it one more time...I can't do it for you."

I remember falling down on the ice, as you forced me to learn to skate. Once again, your words, "Do it one more time...I can't do it for you."

I heard those words often, 'I can't do it for you.'

However, there's a common thread in all of my learning...you were there for me.

Dad, -- listen closely, 'YOU did, do it, for me!
