Bright Recollections

by Y. M. Roger

Bright recollections of childhood’s rainbow
Find safe refuge in my pen’s purview,
From pure fantasy to whispered voodoo
Through fields of stars or yon meadow…

Dreams of today will find breath tomorrow
While drowning in sweet mem'ries' hue,
Bright recollections of childhood’s rainbow
Find safe refuge in my pen’s purview…

Yet, in the end, as life's bold colors slow
And those vivids fade to palest blue,
Know that their brilliance shines e'er anew
In my visions penned so all can know
Bright recollections of childhood’s rainbow.
