A Pleiades 7-line poem

Cat

by LisaMay

Can I resist this warm bliss that I’ve missed?
Cutely capricious, contortions amaze
Carefree young kitten, she conquered my qualms
Chosen companion to lighten my days
Curious, cheeky, displaying her charms
Confirming me caught in her calming gaze
Cuddlesome bundle now purrs in my arms

Pleiades Poetry writing prompt entry
Writing Prompt
Write a Pleiades poem for this contest. This poetry type requires a title with a single word. The poem itself has seven lines. The first word in each line begins with the same letter as the title. See an example of this type of poem here.

Definition of "qualms": Feelings of apprehensive uneasiness or misgivings.
I wasn't sure if I was ready for another cat yet, after the death of my previous beloved pet. I was also unsure about getting a kitten rather than an older rescue cat, but this little cutie won me over.
(That's her in the photo. She doesn't look like a kitten anymore. She's 6 months old. In the 2 weeks since I got her she's nearly doubled in size!)
Pays one point and 2 member cents.
