Father's Day

by Wils

100 Word Story Contest Winner

“Hi Daddy,”

“Hi gorgeous girl. What’s up?”

“Nothing really. Just feel like talking. We don’t get to see each other much nowadays. It always seems like we’re so busy.”

“That’s life sweetie. It’s always trying to find a way to come between us. Nothing can come between this Dad and his daughter.”

“I know Daddy. Love you for that.”

“Love you too.”

The young girl folded the paper and placed it next to the vase of flowers on the ground. Tenderly kissing the headstone, she slowly walked away from her father’s grave. Just as she had every Father’s Day.
