Covid-19 tells its story.
Life of a Virus Covid-19
My real name is Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2
Since most humans have a short attention span, I’m known Covid-19
Lab guys call my halo by that fancy name, Corona
I like it, gives my nasty self a rather deceptive persona
In 2020 I’m a great star, bigger than my cousin, SARS
You can’t stop me as I float across the pandemic
Ignorant think I will just all of a sudden disappear
That’s not going to happen, I’m a sneaky serial killer
I love infiltrating your bodies, latching on to healthy cells
And then making multiple copies of my insidious self
What a thrill causing great sickness and sometimes death
Once I infect you are my beautiful host, don’t be alarmed
If I make you wheeze, cough and sneeze into someone’s air
Spewing my floating droplets seeking new hosts everywhere
Especially among those who cavalierly ignore medical posts
Call me dangerous or detestable, revolting or repulsive
You poor fools, I smirk, your feeble blurts do me no hurt
I’m roaming the earth at will continuing my serial kills
Just love hurtling my evil self from one human being to another
Especially seeking my favored older people, as I circulate in the air
People I find not following social distancing will not be spared
Oh, I am so pleased science is being ignored
Countries, states and cities are opening
Humans, I request, please help propel me along
Don’t use water and soap
Don’t take medical advice
Don’t stay home
Don’t wear a mask
Don’t social distance
Don’t let them take your rights
Gather in groups
Go to religious services
Get a haircut
Cough me out in gyms
Disregard those foolish rules
If you do as I ask don’t worry
I’ll come to you in a hurry and
Settle inside you, my friends
