Grief empathy

by heavenempress

Words fail to fill the gap for your loss, I am sorry.
Silence becomes the best option
The moments desire meaningful silence.
The power of my presence manifests in action
Pleading the words, " I am only just phone call away."
Silent presence speaks volumes of consoling messages.

My empathy follows timelines:
1st minute: I give a hug instead of saying something.
Following five minutes: I wish I had the right words, just know that I care
For the rest of the daytime: I decide to say nothing and just be with the
person.
During Supper time: I decide to bring dinner for a week
Late in the night: l will light a candle and say you and your loved one will be in my thoughts and prayers.
